The election timetable is as follows:
- June 18 at 11.59pm: deadline for registering to vote on the GOV.UK website
- June 19 at 5:00pm: deadline for receiving new postal vote and postal proxy applications on the GOV.UK website, and for changes to existing postal or proxy votes
- June 26 at 5:00pm: deadline for receiving new applications to vote by proxy on the GOV.UK website (not postal proxy or emergency proxies)
- June 26 at 5:00pm: deadline for receiving applications for Voter Authority Certificates on the GOV.UK website
- July 4 from 7:00am to 10:00pm: Polling Day
- July 4 to 5: Votes counted overnight
A new constituency called Ely and East Cambridgeshire will be in effect for this parliamentary election, covering all of East Cambridgeshire plus the district wards of Cottenham and Milton & Waterbeach from South Cambridgeshire.
