Overview
Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is being replaced by Personal Independence Payment (PIP) for disabled people.
You can only apply for Disability Living Allowance (DLA) if you are under 16.
You can apply for:
Personal Independence Payment (PIP) if you are aged 16 or over and have not reached State Pension age
Attendance Allowance if you’re State Pension age or older and do not get Disability Living Allowance.
If you already get Disability Living Allowance (DLA), your claim might end. You will get a letter telling you when this will happen and how you can apply for Personal Independence Payment (PIP).
