Reporting Online Content

It is easy to report illegal or harmful information, pictures or videos you find on the Internet and you do not need to leave your name and contact details.

You can report the following:

  • Articles, images, speeches or videos that promote terrorism or encourage violence;
  • Websites made by terrorist or extremist organisations;
  • Videos of terrorist attacks.

You do not need to provide evidence, however, links to the content, or screenshots, can help with the investigation.

Social media

Remember that content shared by individuals and organisations on social media platforms can also be reported through the government's online reporting form.

Even though there is an option on most social media platforms to report particular posts or media, reporting to the government ensures that the appropriate authorities can take action.
