Use this service to reply to a letter (‘summons’) asking you to do jury service. You can:
- confirm you can go
- say why you are not available
- request help you will need at the court, for example because you are disabled
You can reply for someone else if they give you permission.
You must reply within seven days of getting the letter.
You will need your:
- juror number - find this on your summons letter
- name and address exactly as they are shown on the letter - you can correct any mistakes when you reply
You might get a fine of up to £1,000 if you do not reply to a jury summons or you lie to avoid jury service.

Complete your jury summons form and return it within seven days. The jury summons includes a stamped and addressed envelope.
If you have lost the envelope, send the form to the Jury Central Summoning Bureau.
