Education and Learning in East Cambridgeshire

A new website for adult learners has been launched by Cambridgeshire County Council (external link), who are responsible for education and learning in East Cambridgeshire.

Local Learning Centre

East Cambridgeshire has a learning centre at Ely Library. Facilities exist for learners of all abilities and they can offer a wide range of courses including IT courses, which lead to nationally recognised qualifications such as ECDL or CLAIT. The Library Learning Centres are also recognised Learn direct Centres and learners can enrol for one of the many Learn direct courses. Tutors are on hand to offer help and guidance with your learning programme.  To find out more, contact Ely Library, 6 The Cloisters, Ely, CB7 4ZH. Tel: 01353-616160.

Community Access Points

Community access points in public or community buildings are places where computers, scanners and printers have been installed for the public to use. The scheme effectively makes computers and the Internet available to people who do not have these facilities at home.  Some access points have volunteer tutors to help and guide you to use the access point.

For more information on Community Access Points, contact your local centre:
