Lifebuoys are positioned along the riverside at Ely between the Cutter Inn and the Fisherman's Walk Car Park.
These are checked regularly by East Cambridgeshire District Council's Riverside Officers, and any problem or vandalism is reported and rectified as quickly as possible by our maintenance team.
Peoples lives may depend on the lifebuoys being immediately available and in full usable condition at all times. Anyone witnessing misuse of any of the lifebuoys should visit www.cambs.police.uk (external link) to submit an online report.
Alternatively, if you wish to report damage or misuse directly to the Council, please contact the Community Engagement and Project Officer on 01353 665555.
