Result: Fordham Neighbourhood Planning Referendum

On Thursday 8th November 2018, voters in Fordham, took to the polls to vote whether to use the neighbourhood plan for Fordham to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area.

The polling station at Victoria Hall in Fordham opened at 7am and closed at 10pm.

The verification/ count venue was at the Council Chamber in the East Cambridgeshire District Council offices.

Verification of all 2 of Fordham's boxes was completed, and the turnout was announced as 24.21%. Counting began straight afterwards.

At 22:55, the Counting Officer for East Cambridgeshire, John Hill, declared the count totals for Fordham, which are as follows: 

The total number of ballot paper counted was 501

The number of votes cast in favour of a YES was 435

The number of votes cast in favour of NO was 64

The total number of rejected ballot papers rejected was 2
