Food Standards Agency extends warning on MDA Products following further investigation

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) have added more products to their list of items ‘not to be consumed’ by MDA Products Ltd. This follows an alert by the FSA on 13th January regarding the company’s labelling and traceability contraventions, and possible extended dates codes.

 

On further investigation, items such as frozen ready-to-bake cookies have been added to the list. Retail chains affected are Frozen Value Ltd. t/a Fultons Foods and Jack Fultons (North-East England), Factory Foods (Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley) and Home Bargains (Nationwide). Stores within a 25 mile radius to the district include Home Bargains at Cambourne, Bury St Edmunds and Kings Lynn.

 

East Cambridgeshire District Council have contacted 60 small food retailers in the area to ensure business owners are aware of the ongoing investigation and check their stock.
