Ely, Soham and Littleport Town Centres are taking part in this year’s national Independent Retailer campaign. Running throughout July, it is an opportunity to highlight the significant role independent retailer’s play not only in the communities they serve, but the local economy and wider retail sector.
To showcase the great small businesses we have in East Cambridgeshire, the Town Teams of Ely, Soham and Littleport, organised by Visit Ely and in conjunction with Ely Chamber of Commerce, have been running a social media promotional campaign which was launched on 4th July and runs for the whole month. A variety of independent businesses will be featured though a series of promotions and competitions.
Councillor David Ambrose-Smith said: “This is the perfect chance to find out more about our great independent offer as well as discover facts that you may not know as part of the “Getting to know you” information cards which are being posted on our Facebook Pages and are already reaching a wide audience.
A similar campaign was run as part of the Small Business Saturday in December and proved very successful in helping those businesses involved to reach and increase audiences as well as offering the public an opportunity to engage digitally.”
