The Council has an annually negotiated pay award and progression through the salary scale is based on performance.
Local Government Pension Scheme
Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme (employee and employer contribution) is available to all East Cambridgeshire District Council employees.

Flexi-time & Flexible Working
Wherever the service allows, employees are given the opportunity of flexi-time working. Flexible working arrangements (i.e. part time, annualised hours, compressed hours) is available to all Council employees (subject to qualifying conditions).
23 days annual leave each year increasing to 27 after 5 years continuous local government service.
Health & Wellbeing
In addition to sick pay entitlement based on length of service, the Council operates an Occupational Health Scheme and all memebers of staff are eligible for discouted rates at a local fitness club and the Council owned swimming pool.
Eligible employees can apply for a contribution towards the cost of childcare (for a child aged 12 or under) up to a maximum of £155 per month.
The Council offers a generous relocation package to employees moving to the area (subject to conditions and eligibility).
