The Act requires Category 1 responders to co-operate in preparing for, and responding to, emergencies through a Local Resilience Forum (LRF).
The principal mechanism for the multi-agency co-operation under the Act is the LRF, usually based on Police force area.
The purpose of the LRF process is to ensure effective delivery of those duties under the Act that need to be developed in a multi-agency environment; to enable and build local resilience capability through planning and testing.
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Local Resilience Forum (CPLRF)
The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Local Resilience Forum(CPLRF) is responsible for developing multi-agency emergency management arrangements in accordance with the Act. The CPLRF has produced a number of plans and they outline how responding organisations will work together in the event of an emergency or Major Incident.
The exercising and review of these documents are owned and managed by the CPLRF. The District Council will contribute to the development and maintenance of multi-agency plans and protocols through its involvement in the forum and its sub groups.
