Disposal of Bulky Household Items

The Council offers a "bulky domestic refuse" collection service for items of household furniture, and white goods such as beds, washing machines and cookers.

The Council does not undertake house clearances.

This service is chargeable at £22.00 per 3 household items and £22.00 for each fridge or freezer*.

Fridges & Freezers

We are able to dispose of domestic fridges and freezers for a charge of £22 per item. Unfortunately, we are unable to collect industrial fridges and freezers from businesses.

*The charge for removing domestic fridges is because of the extra cost in disposing of CFCs and extra safety measures that have to be taken while handling them.
