Recycling Grant Successful

East Cambridgeshire District Council is delighted to announce that its £5 million grant application to Central Government to improve recycling services has been successful.

Veolia currently provides the waste and recycling collection service on behalf of the Council.

East Cambs are proud to be part of the Recycling in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough (RECAP) Partnership, which was granted Beacon Council for waste and recycling 2006/07.  Beacon status is awarded to authorities who have shown innovation or achievement in specific fields.

Easter, May & August Bank Holiday Waste Collections in East Cambridgeshire

There will be NO changes to collection days.
Waste & recycling collections will take place as normal on Easter, May & August Bank Holiday’s. Please put materials out for collection by 7am on your usual collection day, even if it falls on a Bank Holiday.

AmeyCespa have recently taken over the contract to collect tins and cans from the bring sites in the district. In order to reduce the number of banks at sites they have combined these with the existing plastic bottle banks.
