Burwell may appear a picturesque, idyllic village but scratch beneath the surface lies tales of knights and daring dos and villains and their dastardly plans.
On Sunday 25 July, the renown Ely guided walks are spreading their wings and are coming to Burwell. Anyone joining the walk will hear stories of Burwell life through the ages through the village's historic characters.
Tickets for the walk, which begins at the Memorial Hall car park, cost £2.50 and are available from Burwell Museum - they also include free admission to the visitor attraction.
Tracey Harding, Tourism & Town Centres Team Leader at East Cambridgeshire District Council, said: "Our guided walks through Ely have been enjoyed by hundreds of people throughout so it is great to be able to take them out to other areas of the district. Burwell is a wonderful village with a rich history from Roman times through to the Norman invasion all the way through to its prosperous present.
"On Sunday, our guide will take walkers around the village highlighting how Burwell has grown, developed and been touched by the past. As always with our walks we have limited tickets so please get in touch as soon as you can if you are interested in learning more about Burwell."
