Spooks Galore In Ely This Halloween

Reference:

Ghost and ghoul lovers will be treated to two spooktacular ghost tours in Ely in the lead up to Halloween.

Back by popular demand, the Ely Ghost Walks will lead you along narrow passageways and dimly lit streets whilst being regaled with tales of scandal, death and despair.  Be prepared to walk alongside ghostly figures, as sightings are guaranteed on this guided evening tour.

A new addition for 2016 and one not for the faint hearted is the alternative guided tour of Oliver Cromwell's House. Be prepared for unexplained bumps and noises as this atmospheric building, dating back to the 12th century, has a variety of visitors which frequently visit after dark.

Tracey Harding, tourism and town centres manager at East Cambridgeshire District Council said: "Building on the popularity of our established ghost tours, we are delighted to offer a new tour around Oliver Cromwell's House this October.  So whether you brave the streets of haunted Ely or dare to visit Cromwell's House, we guarantee a memorable experience this Halloween."

Tickets for both tours must be pre-booked and are now on sale for a variety of dates in October.
