The successful Mature & Active programme is coming to Soham in East Cambridgeshire, as the numbers attending events across the District continue to grow.

The new session will be launched on Wednesday 20 April at the Ross Peers Sports Centre.

Mature & Active Soham will then take place on Wednesday afternoons between 2pm and 4pm for only £3 - with tea & coffee provided.

The list of activities includes: T'ai Chi, Badminton, Keep Fit to Music, Table Tennis and Carpet Bowls. There will also be extra activities provided if the demand proves to be there.

Lewis Bage, Project Officer at East Cambridgeshire District Council, said: "The Mature & Active programme is spreading throughout the district - North, South, East and West. We have had a lot of calls from Soham asking us to set up in the town so it is great to be able to bring the programme to the Ross Peers Sports Centre. We have always said that Mature and Active is not just about keeping the body fit - although that is very important - it is keeping the mind in tip top condition and I am sure the residents of Soham will come and join in the fun."
