A notice of election has been issued for the District Ward of Soham South.

The by-election follows the sad death of Councillor John Palmer.

If the election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday 19 June 2014 between the hours of 7am and 10pm.

Potential candidates can now collect their official nomination papers from the Electoral Services Offices at East Cambridgeshire District Council or download them from www.eastcambs.gov.uk or www.electoralcommission.org.uk  to put themselves forward. 

The deadline for completed nomination papers is 12 noon on Thursday 22 May 2014.
