With the Christmas party season about to start, the Mature & Active programme has lined up some special festive treats.

On Wednesday 14 December, Mature & Active Burwell will holding a Christmas Special at the village’s sports centre from non. There will be all the usual activities and some extra festive fun all for only £2.

Then later in the week will be the Mature & Active Christmas party on Thursday 15 December at the Paradise Centre in Ely between 10am and noon. It will involve Christmas themed sessions as well as the usual favourites plus some mince pies – all for just £3.

Cllr Richard Hobbs, Chairman of Community and Environment sub committee at East Cambridgeshire District Council, said: "The Mature & Active programme has continue to grow this year as more and more people have come along to the sessions throughout the district to keep fit and catch up with friends. It is great to hear the Mature & Active Programme is getting in the party mood with special Christmas themed sessions. Christmas is a good time to catch up with old friends so what better way than meeting up at the Mature & Active parties.“
