Residents in East Cambridgeshire will not have to worry about changes to their waste and recycling collections over the Easter holiday.

East Cambridgeshire District Council, working with their contractors Veolia Environmental Services, has agreed collections will take place as normal throughout the Easter holidays.

This means residents should put out their materials for collection by 7am on your usual collection day even if it falls on a bank holiday.

Dave White, Waste Strategy Team Leader at East Cambridgeshire District Council, said: "We are really pleased to say there will be no changes to collection days this Easter. This should reduce any confusion which sometimes occurs over bank holidays, when residents aren’t sure when to put out their waste and recycling.

"This is going to be a busy year for the waste and recycling in East Cambridgeshire as we introduce new wheeled bins for recycling and organic waste collections in the autumn. Over the next few months we will be doing all we can to help explain the changes to deliver the best service possible."
