Tracey Harding, Team Leader Tourism and Town Centre Services, said: "We have a vibrant range of markets in Ely from the general traders on Thursday to craft and collectables on Saturdays as well as our famous Farmers Market once a fortnight. The Bank Holiday Markets aims to build on this success but we want to develop a unique identity for it after listening to feedback from traders and visitors.
"So this Bank Holiday Monday, there is going to a great range of food to taste and cookery demonstrations to enjoy. We want to make the Market into a food and craft festival where people can come to try new things - to reflect this we are looking at different ways of entertaining customers, for example we will have a steel band at our Market in May. So if the Royal Wedding and Eel Festival hasn't worn you out - pop along on enjoy our market."
