Every company in e-space north and south – two business centres in East Cambridgeshire – say it is a great place for firms in the region to do business.

In a survey of the tenants in the District Council run buildings - 100 per cent of the companies would recommend the centres to other start-up and growing businesses.

The report also revealed high levels of satisfaction with the reception services, management arrangements and even the cost of renting space in the building.

The centres currently house 33 businesses ranging from a wide range of sectors  including: web designers, social enterprises and communications/IT businesses.

The centres are designed to help small companies grow and prosper – over 30 firms have out grown the centres since they opened in 2001 - an increasingly important role as the District aspires to grow.

Cllr Ron Bradney, Lead Member for Economic Development at East Cambridgeshire District Council, said: "The e-space centres have and continue to make a real difference to business growth in East Cambridgeshire. Over the last nine years, a number of companies have started in the building – growing their businesses until they were ready to expand. The 100 per cent recommendation from our tenants is a great sign of the hard work which goes on in the background to make the centres work.

“When firms start up – they don’t just need office space they need simple things like IT infrastructure, reception and postal services – which we pride ourselves on getting right. We aren’t complacent – we know that only by continuing to work hard can we make sure that East Cambridgeshire is the p[lace to do business."
