Visitors to Ely this Christmas and New Year can enjoy a series of guided walks to see the city in its winter glory and discover what Oliver Cromwell really thought of Christmas.

Christmas Combination Tours
Thursday 27 December and Friday 28 December - 10am to 12.30pm
Meet at Oliver Cromwell’s House for a Guided City Walk of Historical Ely then return for morning coffee and Danish pastry before joining a guide on a fascinating tour of Cromwell’s House. Prices: £7.00 adults, £6.00 concessions and £3.50 children.
Historical Guided Tour of Ely - through its Architecture
Saturday 29 December – 11.30am from Oliver Cromwell’s House
learn about the wealth of architecture of some of Ely’s period, historical buildings. All tickets are £2.50 per person.
Guided Riverside Walking Tour
Sunday 30 January – 11.30am from Oliver Cromwell’s House
This tour takes in the city centre as well as the picturesque waterside with some
stunning views. All tickets £2.50 per person.
As well as the walks anyone planning to visit Oliver Cromwell’s House during the festive period can discover whether the Lord Protector really banned Christmas. Visitors can explore the building and learn about the stories surrounding the Cromwells via the audio guides.
