The perfect Christmas gift and the best local ingredients for festive meals can all be found at Ely Markets next week.
In addition to the regular Thursday General Market, shoppers looking for last minute bargains and unique presents will have two more great market opportunities as Christmas comes to Ely.
There will be a Special Christmas Market on Friday 23 December with a wide selection of stalls from all of Ely Markets with seasonal tastings and entertainment.
Then on Christmas Eve, the Farmers’ Market and Craft & Collectable Market will be open for some last minute shopping from 8.30 a.m. until 2.00 p.m. Shoppers will have the chance to pick up amazing gifts or special delicacies to welcome any Christmas visitors.
Tracey Harding, Team Leader Tourism and Town Centre Services at East Cambridgeshire District Council, said: “Christmas in Ely is always a fantastic time as the spirit and atmosphere of the festive season sweeps across the Market Place. The traders on the Markets are gearing up for what is sure to be a bumper two days as people flocking to the Markets before the big day.
“The excellent reputation which the Ely Markets have based on the quality of the goods on sale. Visitors come to Ely from miles around because they know they can trust the produce whether it is the humble Brussels sprout, amazing jewellery and beautiful flowers. So if you are still looking for the perfect present or need to stock up the larder before the big day come down to the Ely Markets.”
