Peter Moakes, Leader of East Cambridgeshire District Council, said: “Our annual Business Ratepayers’ event is an ideal opportunity for companies to ask Councillors and officers directly about how their money is spent and hear the projects and plans the authority has. Local Government has changed significantly over the last few years with less and less money to more and more things – the challenge is to ensure we work to meet the needs of our residents and businesses.
“This is breakfast meeting is important because it gives people the opportunity to ask questions and the Council the chance to answer them. To help further we have organised for a number of organisations to be present who can offer advice and guidance to any businesses to attend. From the local Chamber of Commerce to updates on the Connecting Cambridgeshire broadband campaign – we have people who can help improve your company’s future prospects so please come along.”
