This is a good opportunity for an enthusiastic and hard working individual to further their planning career in our busy Development Control Section.  We are open to applications from qualified planners with RTPI membership.  East Cambridgeshire encourages high quality sustainable growth, and the work will involve both urban and rural issues, with new residential and retail proposals emerging.

You will deal with a caseload of planning applications and inquiries, mainly focused on more complex developments, both minor and major. You will be required to carry out site inspections, negotiate with applicants or their agents, liaise with statutory bodies and other consultees, draft committee reports and make presentations to the Planning Committee, when necessary. You must be a good communicator who works well under pressure and as part of a team. You should also hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle. 

The post will be for fixed term of 6 months to cover for maternity leave.
