Acupuncture is the practice of inserting needles into specific parts of the human body. It has been associated with traditional Chinese medicine for many centuries and is now becoming increasingly popular within the western world.
If you wish to carry out acupuncture you must be registered with the Council.
It is illegal to carry out acupuncture without registering
Applicants need to register both themselves and the premises where acupuncture will be practised.
On receipt of an application an inspection of the premises, facilities and equipment will be made to ensure that the Councils byelaws are met.
Subject to satisfactory inspection a certificate of registration will be granted.
The current application fee is £182.00
