Market Stalls and Pitches Permissions

In the East Cambridgeshire district, general markets and farmers' markets are held only on the Market Place in Ely.

If you wish to become a potential market trader on Ely Market, you must apply to East Cambridgeshire District Council for permission to become an approved market trader in the East Cambridgeshire district.

Market traders must to agree and abide by the current terms and conditions of letting of market pitches and stalls and can only sell the range of goods approved in their application. A fee will be charged to operate a market stall or pitch in accordance with the scale of charges approved by the Council and traders must hold third party liability insurance.

Potential traders for farmers' markets must also meet the additional conditions to comply with the Ely Market registration criteria for certified Farmers' Markets.
