Working to a high standard, your duties will include maintaining a strict grasscutting cycle, maintaining closed churchyards, car parks, shrub beds and cutting of hedges.

You will have previous experience of working in a grasscutter/gardener role and be fully conversant with the use of pedestrian and ride-on mowers and powered and manual gardening equipment. You will be physically capable of undertaking all duties associated with the job, willing to work as part of a team as well as independently and hold a full driving licence allowing you to drive Class B & E vehicles. A horticultural qualification is desirable.  Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.

Weekly hours of work are 33.75 (March – October) and 40.25 (April – September), however some flexibility with regard to working hours will be required on occasions, to complete tasks or deadlines.  The post will initially be for a fixed term of 9 months commencing from March 2012, with an option of continuing thereafter on a permanent 9-month contract.
