Ways to Pay
Internet
Pay by debit/credit card using our online payment service. Make a Payment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Automated Payments
You will need to have your account/invoice number and your credit/debit card details ready. To make a payment using the Automated Telephone Payments Service ring -
01353 616492 or 01353 616493 and follow the instructions given. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Direct Debit (for Council Tax and Business Rates ONLY)
Save yourself time and effort by completing the Direct Debit mandate enclosed with your bill, or visit the ARP website to download a direct debit form, or call 0845 072 6000 to request a Council Tax mandate form, or 0845 702 3092 to request a Business Rates mandate form.
The instalment date is the 1st of the month.
Standing Order (for Council Tax and Business Rates ONLY)
Standing order stationery can be obtained from your bank or building society. Please make the order payable to: The Co-operative Bank, Cambridge, Sort Code 08-90-43, Account Number 61514959. You must quote your reference number.

Send your cheque/postal order made payable to East Cambridgeshire District Council

You must quote your reference number on the reverse of the cheque.
At the Council Offices
Place your cheque into the post box provided. Please make all cheques payable to East Cambridgeshire District Council. You must make sure that you quote the reference you wish the payment to be made to on the reverse of the cheque.
Payments can be made in person between the following opening times:
Mon - Thurs - 8.45 am - 4.30pm
Fri - 8:45am - 4.00pm
Please note that the Council does not accept cash payments.
If you do not have a Bank Account
Post offices and selected local shops are able to help those who deal in cash to pay their Council bills. Those who don't have bank accounts can use this service - which requires users to apply for a special card in advance to pay their bills over the counter. Anyone with a bank account is encouraged to pay online, by direct debit or post as the cheapest and most efficient service available - see details of these above.
The following local shops are capable of handling payments for Council Tax and Business Rates as well as most post offices in the district:
- The Co-Op in Burwell, Littleport, Soham, Fordham, Isleham, Mildenhall and Newmarket
- Dillons in Cambridge, Waterbeach, Littleport and Haddenham
- Q8 Garages in Waterbeach, Witcham Toll and Soham
- The Waterbeach Village store, BP Garage on Witchford Road, Pace Petroleum in Littleport, Fordham Service Station, Bury Road Service Station in Kentford, Threshers in Newmarket, Select & Save Spar in Cambridge, Corner stores in Mildenhall and Londis in Beck Row.
The following Post Offices will be capable of handling Council Tax and Business Rates:
Burwell, Swaffham Bulbeck, Newmarket Road in Cambridge, Barnwell, Stom Cum Quy, Bottisham, Lode, Waterbeach, Littleport, Mepal, Witcham, Sutton, Little Downham, Little Thetford, Stretham, Wilburton, Haddenham, St Johns' Road and High Street Ely, High Street and Hall Street in Soham, Fordham, Isleham, High Street and Exning Road in Newmarket, Six Mile Bottom, Exning, Kentford, Moulton, Dalham, Wickhambrook, Cheveley, Ashley, Burrough Green, Kirtling, Cowlinge, Stetchworth, Stradishall, Barton Mills, Higham, Rigsby, Tuddenham, Mildenhall, Beck Row, Red Lodge and West Row.
Licensing
Members of the public can buy Environmental Health and Legal licences at the District Council reception by cheque or card or by prior payment at the Post Office.
