Elections & Voting

The Electoral Registration team has sent out 909 deletion letters following the publication of the new register on 1 December 2014.  Some of these electors who have received the letters are puzzled by them as they had previously had a confirmation letter sent to them stating they need take no further action.  This is due to a technical problem with our electoral services software system.  All we can do is apologise for any inconvenience or distress we may cause the elector in receiving one of these letters and ask you to either go on to the government portal and register you details on there at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or call our offices where we can go through the process with you on the phone, you will need to have your national insurance number and date of birth to hand when you call us.  We can then reinstate your entry on the register.
