Human Resources & Information Technology Department

The Human Resources and Information Technology Department is responsible for all issues relating to staffing and training and for managing information and technology within the Council, and is responsible for open spaces maintenance, management of the Council’s office and emergency planning.

Facilities Management

The Council delivers its services from five separate offices and depots – The Grange, Ely; Babylon Bridge, Ely; Oliver Cromwell’s House, Ely and Council depots at Ely and Littleport. The facilities management service is responsible for maintaining the smooth running of these offices and depots including repairs and maintenance, staff and customers and car parking, office services such as typing, reprographics and post.

Human Resources

The Human Resources section aims to ensure that the Council meets its corporate objectives by maximising the commitment, skills, capabilities and morale of the staff of East Cambridgeshire District Council, through an effective human resource strategy, policies and procedures.

Information Technology

The IT service has a broad challenging purpose to transform and improve service delivery within the Council and beyond.

The service is responsible for the Council's IT services including the Council's websites and online services, such as interactive eforms and online payments.

The Council currently has three public-facing websites:
