Ely Masterplan - Smart Growth for a 21st Century Garden City

Ely Market Place

Plans to develop Ely into a city ready to embrace the 21st century have been published for public consultation.

The vision reveals how the city can rediscover its riverside, redevelop the city centre, increase green space and bring new homes and jobs to Ely.

The Ely Masterplan, the culmination of six months work and consultation, brings together for the first time the developments that can ensure the city fulfils its potential. From creating a new southern link road to improved leisure facilities, the vision looks at how to improve the city.

The plan sets out the areas for potential growth in the north, centre and south of the city, the infrastructure which is required to support expansion and reveals the future size and population growth of Ely.
