Garden wall, late C17.
Red brick, English bond with gabled coping and sawtooth cornice.
House formerly the Post Office. C16 origin but substantially altered and extended in later C19.
Timber frame, exposed, with late C19 red ground floor rebuilding and first floor infill between the studs. Red pantile roof. Ridge stack of similar brick has a sawtooth cornice. Three bay plan with end to road, extended late C19 on west side. Two storeys with road end jettied. Bull nose jetty joists but new work to jetty beam and studwork at first and attic storeys.
House, C18 and C19 first floor and roof raise.
Red brick, Flemish bond and slate roof with ridge stack, two storeys with band between the storeys. Three first floor recessed mid C19 twelve pane hung sashes symmetrically disposed above three similar recessed ground floor windows, the sills of which break the upper edge of the C18 wall plinth. Lobby entry doorway has C19 doorcase of reeded architrave with boss enrichments, panelled reveals and a panelled door with rectangular fanlight with glazing bars.
Cottage and shop, Late C17 or early C18.
Red brick, Flemish bond and tumbled gable end parapet to plain tiled roof. Sawtooth eaves and plain cornice. One storey on the front. Cottage doorway and adjacent window in remade surround under original single cambered arch. Shop doorway has moulded architrave and the shop window is on the site of an older window of which a segmental arch remains.
Rectory. Three principal building periods. C15, late C17, and early C18. Alterations of later C19. Timber frame, and later C17 red brick. The later C19 red brick alterations have black mortar courses.
House, Late C17 origin, but mainly early to mid C19.
Red brick, English bond to later C17 red of west wing, and red brick, Flemish bond. Plain tiled gable roof with shaped bargeboarding and ridge stacks. Main range with two cross wings to the road. Two storey main range. First floor single twelve pane hung sash under segmental arch above a similar tripartite hung sash and original doorway in reeded doorcase with boss enrichments and panelled door.
Cottage formerly the Old Chequers PH, 1662, extended by one bay at east end C18.
House, c1840.
Gault brick, Flemish bond, and hipped, slate roof with symmetrical end stacks. Brick modillion eaves cornice. L-plan including a kitchen wing at the rear. Two storeys. Symmetrical facade of three recessed twelve pane hung sashes in cambered arches with sills, painted. Central doorway has stucco surround and flat hood with moulded cornice on enriched console brackets. Panelled door.
Cottage, C16 and late C19 alterations.
Exposed timber frame with late C19 red brick infill and rendered south east gable. Combed wheat reed thatch, hipped to south east end. Square red brick ridge stack, rendered. Three bay, lobby entry plan, including the narrower entry and chimney bay. Two storeys. Close studding with middle rail and curved downward bracing from corner main posts to studs. Jowled heads to main posts. Two first floor C19 casements and small closet window opposite the stack. Two ground floor wood casements on either side of the lobby entry doorway.
House, formerly the manor house. Probably c1610 for Sir John Jolles, Alderman of City of London, but some of the features would seem to be of later date. Altered internally later C19. Red brick, English bond and broad mortar courses. On high plinth (see Yew Tree House, Witcham and other Fenland houses eg Hannath Hall, Tydd St Giles ).
