Unlike Planning Applications there is no general public right to inspect plans deposited under the Building Regulations. However, as the owner of a property we do allow you (or your agent) to examine previously submitted plans where, for example, you are doing so in order to help prepare an application under the Building Regulations.

Copies of Building Regulations Decisions Notices and Completion Certificates 

Copies of Building Regulations Decision Notices and Completion Certificates can be supplied upon written request subject to a fee of  £10 plus VAT per document. Payment is required prior to the release of the documents. Please allow up to 10 working days for the return of this information.

Copies of Building Regulations Plans

Copies of Building Regulations plans can be supplied provided written consent is obtained from the owner of the property concerned and the originator of the drawings i.e. architect/agent. Plans are protected under Copyright and therefore copies cannot be provided without the express permission of the Architect / Author. Due to the information being retained on microfiche the plans are not to scale and are printed at A4 only. Please allow up to 10 working days for the return of this information.

Written replies to enquiries

The provision of a letter confirming exemption of a structure after construction is subject to a prior payment fee of £23 plus VAT. (No charge prior to construction).
