Consultancy team URBED (Urban & Economic Development) is seeking views from local people, groups and organisations as they work up a master plan for Ely's growth over the next 20-25 years.
The Ely Masterplan, which is to be presented to East Cambridgeshire District Council in late February, will create a clear vision for the future growth of the City, incorporating retail and business growth, housing, leisure and public spaces as well as investigating the ways which people move around the City. In particular the plan will be looking at key opportunity development sites and how these will fit into the wider plan for the City.
The team have already spoken to a wide range of groups, including local retailers, commercial agents and civic groups and would welcome local peoples' comments.
